An awesome effort by Jake Lang hoisted Dive Hard to a 10-3 win in six innings over Stoopkids on Sunday at Trum Field, Somerville, MA. Lang rocked Stoopkids with two home runs in the fourth and sixth innings. He went 2-3 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Dive Hard beat Stoopkids thanks to 16 hits, including seven extra base hits. Dive Hard hit a total of three home runs in the win. Connor Buckley added to their home run total when he hit one in the fourth inning. Dive Hard stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring one run on an RBI double by Steve Danuszar. Dive Hard added three more runs in the bottom of the second. Joe Driver kicked things off with a single, scoring Evan Ordway. Dive Hard increased its lead with two runs in the fourth. A solo home run by Buckley ignited the offense,. That was followed up by Lang's solo blast. After a quick strike from Stoopkids, Dive Hard responded with four runs in the sixth. Dive Hard scored on an RBI single by Buckley and a three-run home run by Lang. Dive Hard jumped out to an early lead on Booze On First and captured an 8-2 victory on Sunday at Field one. They scored five runs in the first inning to build an early lead. With eight runs in the first three innings, Dive Hard left no doubt about the eventual outcome. An RBI single by Steve Alberino, an RBI triple by Connor Buckley, a groundout by Jake Lang, an RBI triple by Chris Castro, and an RBI triple by Ally Crooke in the first inning and an RBI single by Cameron Castro during the second inning supplied the early offense for Dive Hard. Good Wood came out swinging, scoring seven runs in the first inning to jump ahead of Dive Hard early. Dive Hard scored in the first on a two-run single by Steve Alberino, a two-run home run by Jake Lang, an RBI single by Ally Crooke, a sacrifice fly by Chris Nickerson, and an RBI single by Brett Labrie. Dive Hard staved off Good Wood as Good Wood was unable to match Dive Hard down the stretch. Despite its efforts, Good Wood couldn't get over the hump. Dive Hard quickly matched Good Wood's strong inning with a five-run inning of its own in the second. Dive Hard scored on an RBI single by Kim Karasewicz, an RBI single by Alberino, an RBI double by Connor Buckley, and a two-run single by Lang. Dive Hard tacked on another four runs in the third. Labrie's single got things going, bringing home Chris Castro. That was followed up by Cameron Castro's three-run home run, plating Labrie and Sam Castro.
